CATHOLIC  COMMUNITIES

Expressing the voices of the Lay across the UK, walking in the truth of the faith and adhering to church teaching.

Welcome to the UK's exclusive online Catholic Community platform, uniting the Laity for fellowship, prayer, and sharing.

From the very beginning of His public ministry, Our Lord gathered communities around Him. He said that whenever even two or three met in His name, He would be with them. The same is true today when we come together as the wider Lay community.

This online community hub provides a wide array of Catholic prayer groups, discussion rooms, and resources to help Catholics deepen and share their understanding of our rich faith and more.

Everyday Catholic Communities is an initiative based in the UK, driven by dedicated Laity members nationwide. Our goal is to 'fan the flame' of the Laity by establishing online meeting spaces which encourage connections and engagement. We aim to highlight  and share the positive news, events, initiatives, and contributions of the Catholic Laity from our unique perspective.

This platform is hosted and managed by Every Day Christian Marketing LTD, a specialised Catholic Digital Marketing Agency committed to supporting the Catholic Church in the UK. Our work for parishes, relgious orders and lay missions can be seen here

WHY HAVE A LAITY LED INITIATIVE?

The concept of the laity as equal participants in the Church is interwoven throughout much of Lumen Gentium. Chapter four delves specifically into the role of the laity. In addition to partaking in the shared baptismal mission of all believers, the laity are recognized to hold a distinctive position within the Church. Instead of being considered inferior due to their engagement in the secular realm, the laity are acknowledged to have a calling in contributing to the realization of the kingdom of God on earth.‘Now the laity are called in a special way to make the Church present and operative in those places and circumstances where only through them can it become the salt of the earth.’ (LG 33)

Sacred Art & Literature, Pilgrimages, Events and Christian Unity

Discovering the immense diversity of art, literature and places to travel often involves a deepening of one's relationship with Christ. These experiences can also  be shared and even more unifying when the experience is with others. Christian Unity has a big name in the church, it's called  Ecumenism - we simply call it finding common ground and fellowship with other Christian during our walk in faith.
